Life is complicated and messy to start with. If you’re a migrant from a different culture, your life can be even messier in the U.S. When I encounter a situation where I grumble to myself “I don’t know what to say,” I feel compelled to negotiate and reconcile the Japanese and American cultures that coexist in my heart. This is a journey of redefining my cultural self. I hope you will enjoy my essays.
